Product Description

WaterDog installs on any outdoor spigot to supply dogs with fresh, clean water on demand.

Ultrasonic sensors turn the water flow on and off depending on a dog's proximity. WaterDog is especially helpful in the summer, when dogs are more prone to dehydration and heatstroke.

No more empty or dirty water bowls with the WaterDog. You'll never have to worry about what your dog's been drinking again!

How it Works

Smart ultrasound technology triggers the WaterDog to turn on when your pet approaches and turns off the water when your pet leaves.

Built-In Flood Protection

The WaterDog also includes a flood protection feature. Should your dog stay in the unit's active area for longer than 5 minutes, the water will shut off and remain off until the dog leaves the active area, protecting your yard or kennel from flooding.

Water Spigot Still Useable

An additional hose flow-through is included which allows your garden hose to still be used.

Positioning your WaterDog

Locate the WaterDog in an area where water spillage is acceptable. Some mulch, artificial grass, or gravel will ensure a clean, mud free zone. Attach the WaterDog to the faucet or hose and adjust the height so the sensors will be at the same height as the dog's body. The line of sight of the sensors should be parallel to the ground; if the sensors point downwards, the ground may activate the WaterDog, if they point upwards, rain may interfere with the sensors.

For small dogs, pointing the unit slightly upwards to avoid interference with the ground may be necessary. If your dog prefers to drink out of one side of his mouth, the nozzle on the front of the WaterDog can be rotated to the left or right to allow the sensors a better view of the dog's head while he is drinking. If your pet is inconsistent in its approach to the WaterDog, it may be necessary to place obstacles on the ground to force him to always approach and drink from a known location.

Easy to Assemble and Connect

The WaterDog is easy to install anywhere there is a water spigot or other water source with a valve. No tools are required.

WaterDog uses 4 'C' batteries (not included) which will last about a year in normal use (based on an average of 15 drinks a day at 30 seconds per drink).
